MoDA’s Collections Management Database

Abstract:

MoDA’s collections management database, ‘Musims’ has two main functions for MoDA. Firstly it is the central point of information about the collections for all staff, and is used to record many different types of data. Secondly, selected fields from the database are available to the public via our on-line public interface. This is enormously important to the museum as a way of making our collections more accessible to a wider audience, and we are currently in the process of making further improvements to it.
